The primary and secondary authors of this site are International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers (IANTD) advanced sidemount cave divers and National Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers (NAUI) divemasters.

The primary author has had the incredible privilege of diving caves in the Dominican Republic, the Yucatan Peninsula, Florida, and Italy. While cave diving is not her full time life, she is a true lover of subterranean landscapes and takes a deep and vested interest in traversing caves, cave conservation (of land and water caves), and the unique technique and science behind cave diving.
The secondary author has dived caves in the Dominican Republic, Yucatan Peninsula, Italy, and has played lots of silent Marco Polo.
Side note: This is not National Geographic. All my pictures are terrible. They were taken with a GoPro Hero 3 (released in 2012). These pictures are waaaaay better than mine. Basically any pictures online are better than mine. That is not the point of this site. Honestly, it’s really impressive this old camera did so well. And, yes, my backmount configuration is home made with parts from Walmart.
